Chalk is a tutoring center for Grades 8 to 12 and university entrance. Maths, sciences, English. Fixed timings, published fees, and a teacher who can tell you exactly where your child is losing marks.
We teach the same chapters your child is doing in class, a little ahead of them, so the school lesson lands on ground that has already been broken.
Small enough that a teacher can name the gap in each child's work by the third week. If a batch fills, it closes. We open another one, we do not add chairs.
Test scores, attendance, and one honest paragraph from the teacher. If two tests slide in a row you get a phone call before the report reaches you.
We do not promise ranks and we do not promise admissions. No center honestly can. What we promise is that the class runs, the papers get marked, and somebody calls you when something slips.
Algebra, geometry and trigonometry, taught one chapter ahead of the school term.

Every class on the timetable, all printed test papers, the monthly mock, and the Saturday doubt hour from 4 to 6 pm. There is no separate material charge.
A one-time registration of $25 per family, not per child. A second child from the same family pays 15 percent less, for as long as both are enrolled.
Bring the missed chapter to the Saturday doubt hour and a teacher will take you through it. We do not refund a missed class, and we say so before you pay.
Joined in the middle of Grade 11 with a September mock of 46. She sat every Saturday paper for fourteen months without missing one. Her last full mock before finals was 79. Her weakest chapter stayed calculus and we told her so in writing.
Came to us able to do the theory and losing marks on numericals. Nine months of two numericals a night, marked the next evening. He moved from 58 to 74 and, more usefully, stopped skipping the questions he found ugly.
A confident reader who wrote in one long paragraph. We spent two months on structure alone before touching content. She finished at 88 in her final school essay and now marks juniors' drafts on Saturdays.

Marks every essay by hand, line by line. Believes most lost marks in English are structural, not linguistic.
Also takes the entrance-science mornings. Makes every student redraw the diagram from memory before they leave.
Ten in the exam-year batches, fourteen in English. When a batch reaches its number it closes and the next one opens, usually within a fortnight. We have never added a thirteenth chair to a full batch and we are not going to start.
Batches open in the first week of every month.
A twenty-minute topic test every week, marked and back in your child's hands the next class. One full-length mock a month, same paper for the whole batch, sat under exam timing in a quiet room. Every script is kept for the year.
Mocks are on the last Saturday of the month.
Four to six on Saturday, no booking, no charge for enrolled students. Bring the question that has been stuck all week, or the chapter you missed. Two teachers are on the floor and the room is usually half full by half past four.
Included in the monthly fee. Bring the actual paper.
A one-page report on the first of every month: test scores, attendance, and a paragraph from the teacher in plain words. Twice a year we sit down with you for fifteen minutes. If something is going wrong, you will already know by then.
Reports go out by message or on paper, your choice.
The report actually says what is wrong. The first one was not comfortable reading, and that is exactly why I trusted the second one.
He went from copying answers to arguing with the teacher about a method. I did not expect that from a tuition class.

Your child attends a full class in the batch they would join, on the day it normally meets. Free, no registration first, and no follow-up calls if it is not right. Tell us the grade and the subject and we will tell you which evening to come.
